A Japanese take on Ham and Eggs.

Growing up in a Japanese American home we ate a variety of foods but I think the simple ones are still the best.  In our home we used to make shoyu or soy sauce scrambled eggs and at my Chinese girlfriend’s house, her Dad made us ham Asian style.  What’s that?  See below and try it.!

Scrambled eggs:

3 eggs
1 Tablespoon sugar
1 Tablespoon shoyu

Place the above ingredients in a bowl and whisk.  Heat frying pan, add a bit of oil and scramble eggs.

Ham:

Fry ham in same pan with a little sesame oil.

There you have your Asian ham and eggs breakfast.  It’s a good break from ketchup!
