What I love about the New Year is that it always brings new energy and hope. Although in reality there is no beginning or end to our daily lives, it gives us all a chance to embrace change and set new challenges.
The Universe never stays the same. Things are always changing and we are no different. We are creatures that always need to learn, grow and develop. It’s just that we all don’t do these things at the same speed. There are times that we may experience intense growth, while other times we may wonder if we are really making progress. Regardless of time, we are still developing in our own way.
In the Chinese zodiac, 2012 is the Year of the Dragon. They say it is a year of change. I want to be like the bamboo; flexible when swaying with the wind, but strong enough to be standing on my own. May we all ride on the back of the mystical, auspicious dragon and embrace the changes that 2012 will bring.
