Happy 2019! Wishing everyone good health, love, contentment and prosperity!

I haven’t posted in a very long time. But with the New Year, there is always new energy, and this year I’m really feeling it. And a lot of it!

Our family used to celebrate New Year’s with a big New Year’s Party.  We used to invite our friends and neighbors and over the years, our gathering slowly grew to over 30 people. I enjoyed sharing Japanese culture to ring in the New Year with everyone.

But, as the boys left for college, I found my energy started to dwindle. I
stopped having the New Year’s party.

Eventually, we downsized and during that period, we moved a couple of times because we were searching for a life that resonated with our beliefs. It was a very trying time in many ways. But, as they say, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

I am finally feeling my energy level has picked up again. There’s been a lot
of changes in my life, but I’m feeling more settled. And that’s a good thing.
In feng shui, scattered energy means chaos. Settled energy is more
“whole.” You can say that I’m feeling grounded.

With this new found energy, I decided to have a small New Year’s gathering,
as our house is very small now. We had traditional food as well as a few other things that allowed me to enjoy the company, instead of being stuck in the kitchen. Having friends and family together was a wonderful way to bring in the New Year. And I realized, I’m the type of person that needs that eclectic energy to keep me going. It makes me happy.

So, this year I’m going to work on those small things that make me and others happy.

One of the things that makes me happy is when someone comments on one of my posts on this blog because they found it helpful or they enjoyed it.  So, I will start to write again with the hope that it will be helpful and useful to someone.  Thank you all for reading and sharing my blog.  It makes me very happy!  Here’s to 2019 and to raising everyone’s energy!

Have a great year!
