Everyone has a story. Many of the older Asian generations that immigrated to the U.S. never told their stories because it was too painful and they wished to forget the past. For others, being Asian meant that those stories were to be kept close to their heart. Only recently have they felt that their stories must be told as part of our Asian heritage. I have been most fortunate to have such wonderful, special people around me who have generously shared their amazing life stories with me.
